Out of the mouths of babes . . .
Favorite kid quotes from this week:
Luke: "Mom, your hair looks like fresh mowed grass." (In his opinion, this was a great compliment. I'm not so sure about it--fresh mowed grass was not the look I was going for.)
Grace: "Mama, you's big. You's feet are stinky." (Definitely NOT the look/smell I was going for.).
And finally:
Luke was reading about the movie Indiana Jones on his nacho box. He read this to me: "Indiana Jones was shot on several locations, including Brazil, Argentina, Hawaii, and New Mexico." Then his comment: "Don't worry, Mom. I've heard they don't use real guns; I think he's ok."
Cracking me up, these two.

I am very curious about your 'do' that would look like fresh mowed grass! Not picturing it.
There must be some memo circulating to the under-15 crowd about 'tellin' it like it is' to your moms this week! :-)
Sarah:
I didn't get the "fresh mowed grass" simile either--I think he was referring to it looking smooth-ish (like fresh mowed grass), which is a hard look for me to maintain with all my new wiry and springy gray hair. Ugh! :-)
I've been cracking up with you over on your blog--first, it was the giraffe purses. Then, it was the "back fat." I'm anticipating what's next. Muffin tops? Rough heels? Something bling-bling?
Keep 'em coming!
Oops! I forgot to log in under my name. The above comment was made by moi, Jana. Rob is SO NOT AWARE of giraffe purses, etc.
Just to clarify!
