Colin Powell

As you can see from the above picture, I was able to get my picture with Colin Powell when he was here. People have asked me if it was good getting to hang out with him. I have to admit to them the sum total of my conversation went like this:

Him: Hello.
Me: Thank you for coming and speaking.
Him: Your welcome.
Him: "Hey!" to the camera man who was not paying attention.

All of that aside, he was a very, very impressive speaker. He started wrapping up and I looked at my watch, shocked to discover he had been speaking for an hour. He is engaging and very funny, which I guess you don't get to see much when the only time you are on TV is to report which town you bombed today. He knew about LCU and his comments were very appropriate for the occasion. We have heard very positive feedback from the community, which was part of what we were hoping for in bringing him in. Now we just have to find someone to bring in next year...
